This page explains what happens to information you give us, or that we record automatically, when you use 2act.tv. We have kept it short and specific rather than long and general.
Who we are
Second Act Holdings, LLC, Atlantic City, New Jersey. You can reach us at info@2act.tv about anything on this page, including a request to delete what we hold about you.
When you use the contact form
We collect the name, email address, company and message you type. We also record the IP address the message was sent from, your browser, the page you sent it from and the time, which are included in the notification we receive.
Each message is sent to us by email and also kept on this website's own server, outside the public part of the site, so that none is lost if an email fails. We keep it there for up to a year and remove the IP address from it after 90 days. If a message is not sent, because a detail was missing or the website could not send it, we keep what was typed for 30 days so we can still reach you; if you then send it successfully, the earlier attempt is deleted.
We use your email address to reply. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share this information with anyone outside the processors listed below.
Spam protection
To stop automated abuse, the form briefly keeps a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address alongside the times a message was accepted. The address itself is not stored, the hash cannot be reversed back into it, and the record is discarded within an hour.
Analytics, and your choice about it
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through this site — which sections they read, how far they scroll, whether they watch the reel, and whether they reach the contact form. This tells us what is working. It does not tell us who you are, and nothing you type into the form is ever sent to Analytics.
Analytics sets cookies in your browser. In the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Switzerland these are switched off until you accept them. Everywhere else they are on by default and the banner lets you turn them off.
Whichever you choose, we remember it in your browser so you are not asked again. Clearing your browser data will clear that choice along with it.
Google retains this data for no longer than 14 months.
Our own visit count
Besides Google Analytics, this website keeps its own count of how it is used, on its own server, without a cookie. It notes the pages you view, how far down a page you scroll and how long you stay, which buttons you press, whether you tap our email address, and whether you start the contact form or leave it unsent. It never records what you type into the form. Each visit gets a random number that your browser keeps only until you close the tab, and the count keeps your IP address with its last part removed, the kind of device you use, the website that sent you here, and any campaign in the address you arrived at. We use it to understand what is working, and to see which visit led to a message. It follows your answer to the cookie banner: it stops if you decline, and if you are in Europe it waits until you accept. It is kept for 13 months and is not sold or shared.
Who processes information for us
AIM Squad runs the server this website is on, at DigitalOcean, and keeps standard server logs that include visitor IP addresses.
Cloudflare sits in front of the website to deliver it and protect it from abuse, so it handles every visit, including your IP address.
Mailgun sends the form notifications, so each message passes through it on its way to us, and it keeps a record of the delivery.
Google provides Analytics, and Google Workspace carries our email.
AIM Squad, which built and maintains this website, receives a copy of each contact form message so it can confirm the form is working, and can see the messages and the visit count in the website's admin.
We use no advertising networks, no tracking pixels from social platforms, and no third-party embeds.
Your choices
You can decline analytics cookies using the banner, or remove them at any time through your browser settings. Your browser can also block cookies entirely; this site works without them.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@2act.tv. Depending on where you live you may have a legal right to these things; we will honor the request either way.
Changes
If what we collect changes, we will change this page and update the date at the top.
